The Advice I Need to Take Too

"Gosh!!! I give such good advice, i wish I could take them."

I was reading one of the contents I posted this week and I was like, "Mehn, I give such good advice, i wish I could take them."

Many a time, when I say "dearest reader," I'm not even addressing my readers. When I write, I don't really consider my audience. It's just about me really. So, by the time I get to that concluding paragraph where I'm seemingly addressing the reader, I'm most times secretly begging myself to take my own solid advice.

And it's funny and crazy at the same time.

But I think that's the beauty of it all. I get to take a thought, an experience, or an idea, put it into words, and somehow draw out an insight from it to pass across. But in the process of teaching someone else, I'm also teaching myself.

Sometimes, I write about lessons I've already learnt. Other times, I write about lessons I'm still learning. And perhaps that's why the words feel so personal, i'm not writing from some perfect place where I have everything figured out. I'm writing from the middle of the process too.

Maybe that's what writing is for me. It is me talking to myself loudly enough that someone else can hear.

So, dear reader, if you've ever read something I've written and thought, "Wow, I really needed to hear this," just know that there is a very high chance I needed to hear it too.

In fact, some days, you're not my dearest reader, i'm mine.
