You guyssssssssss

I’ve been pushing myself to do a set of videos recently and omor, it has been a lot because it’s a new niche, but God is helping me.

I think yesterday was day one and I recorded this same video saying the same thing like 50 times. I’m not even exaggerating. I kept recording until it felt right. I recorded so much that my cheeks began to hurt and I was literally tired of smiling.

And then we go again today, but guess what? I attempted today’s videos and I recorded 25 times before finally seeing the one that felt right. And it was nice.

What stood out for me from these experiences were two things.

First, my ability to keep trying again. I was tired of talking, but after watching what I just did, I’d feel like “this can be done better” and I’ll do it again and again and again. For someone that doesn’t like stress and is quick to give up, it has been a stretch. And it made me think of how it’s not even about how difficult a thing is, it’s about how passionate you are to keep trying.

Second, the more I did it, the less time I failed at it. Day one, I had to do it 50 times to get what was okay enough. Day two, I had to do it 25 times to get what was okay enough. Do you see the difference?

If you stick around, you’ll easily become better. The more you practice, the easier doing becomes. So what looks hard right now could be something you’ll grow to do without blinking twice tomorrow, if you stay consistent.

Dearest reader, I’m thrilled to go from horrible to not so horrible. The trick is to show up with the mindset that you don’t have a choice. Be passionate enough to keep trying and please, celebrate your small progress too, because that’s how growth looks at first.
