I’m finally watching the series “How to Get Away With Murder” after a billion years of putting it off. Just episode one and I’m already thrilled. I have a thing for serial killer, detective kind of movies. They always get me thinking critically.
I like to solve each murder alongside the detectives and it’s really fun.
So back to “How to Get Away With Murder”. A character said something that stayed with me. She chose a particular student, and the student had doubts about whether he deserved the position. She said something like, “I chose you because of your argument, but now that you’ve shown what you think of yourself, and that you think you don’t deserve this job, I’m rethinking the offer.”
And I was like damn.
Because truly, sometimes we discredit ourselves, thinking we are unworthy of certain opportunities. However, the problem is not our abilities, it is our perception of ourselves.
How do you see you? Do you believe in what you carry, or do you feel less in comparison to others?
Dearest reader, the idea is to see yourself as a big deal, a massive one in fact. I’m not saying be arrogant or anything, but give yourself due credit.
When you are offered something, walk into it knowing you belong there. Carry yourself with an outrageous and audacious level of self confidence.
My advice: embrace the entirety of who you are with audacity. Fix how you see you.
