While it is true that there is nothing new under the sun, I like to believe that we are not all the same. Even if five different people have the same idea, the outcome will never be identical. The way each person thinks, interprets, and expresses that idea will always differ. That difference is where uniqueness lives.

I once read that your idea can be stolen, but your vision cannot. And it makes a lot of sense. Ideas are everywhere. That business you are planning to start, someone else has already thought about it. Someone may have even started it, grown it, and made a name from it. Ideas, by themselves, are not rare.

What sets people apart is vision. Vision is deeper than the idea itself. It is your perspective, your values, your timing, your experiences, and the reason behind what you want to build. Vision determines how you execute an idea, who you serve, what problem you truly want to solve, and how far you are willing to go.

Nothing is really a mystery anymore. Information is accessible. Blueprints are available. Tutorials exist for almost everything. Yet, despite all this, only a few people truly stand out. The difference is not knowledge, it is vision and commitment.

Two people can have the same idea, but by means of expression it would come out differently, because of our individual unique abilities.

I remember I used to be pretty upset whenever I get an idea and I see something else doing it, I would feel sad that I wasn’t the one implementing but the older I grew up, I saw that they weren’t doing it the way I would, and that’s the difference, my visions, or dreams are still valid.

Dearest reader, instead of being afraid that someone might steal your idea, focus on refining your vision. Build clarity around why you are doing what you are doing and how you want to do it. When vision is clear, competition becomes irrelevant, because no one can replicate you.
