"Content of the day"

What a funny title.

I remember when I used to be very dutiful with my daily scheduling. I had this task called “content of the day”. It was the most important thing on my list, yet somehow the last thing I attended to.

And I honestly tried many times to write earlier. I would get it right for a few days and then boom, I was back to my usual habit of waiting till nightfall. Maybe one day I will change, but for now I will stick to it.

I came across a poetic line today. It read, “Yes, I walked away but to save you the only way I knew”.

That part that said “the only way I knew” touched something in me.

It is giving my method may not be the best, but I went as far as my knowledge could carry me. I gave saving you my best shot.

And honestly, that is something. It is the thought that counts. It is the going all the way even when you do not have the perfect method.

My boss would usually joke that if he finds out you went through a lot to get him a gift, he will tell you not to bother again. The effort alone is more than enough.

So the point I am trying to pass across is simple. Intent matters. Effort matters. Sometimes the walking away is not the big deal. The real focus is that it was the only way you knew to save someone. It was your best shot.

Dearest reader, I hope you enjoyed reading my thought process and my little interpretation of that line.

Anyways, merry Monday.
