RUSH HOUR.

So I have this thing tomorrow, and trust me, I had months to prepare, yet couldn’t bring myself to until today. It felt like the proximity just caught me at a dead end, where I had to either force myself to start preparing or forever live with the regret of almost, could’ve, wanted to, but never did.

I like to say we do not regret the things we do; what we regret are the things we didn’t do, the chances we didn’t take, the opportunities we didn’t jump on, the moments we didn’t live fully.

So at the rush hour of this particular thingy, I realized that I’d forever live with the regret of yesterday if I didn’t do it. So I sat up, pushed past my usual range of excuses and “I’m not in my element” mood.

And as usual, rush hour works for me. It always does. I can’t explain it.

But maybe, just maybe, it’s the hopelessness of either getting it done now or losing the opportunity forever that helps me function last minute.

Whatever it is, I’m grateful that I survived on that luck yet again.

What’s your take on rush hour things? Do you do well with them or does it totally suck?
