You don't need balance at the start of your journey ke?
Okay okay, let's pause. I'm not judging, I'm actually confused.
You see, I have this thing for a balanced lifestyle, a life where you are locked in, experiencing life, having fun, and productively making impact all at once. It sure sounds greedy, I know.
But let me explain it to you.
The way I see it, I would rather have a 50% successful life where I'm living, experiencing life, having the best time, loving what I do, being a part of the lives of my best people, experiencing love, culture, people, and causing impact all along, than a 100% successful life that's void of the kind of experiences you only have once.
An empty, wealthy, mundane life, that would be a shame, wouldn't it?
Now, there's another school of thought I encountered today. The idea that at the start of your journey, you don't necessarily need a balanced life, that you create balance as you grow and do better, not during the process or at the jumpstart.
Here I am thinking out loud, which is right?
Yes, while I agree that at the start of the journey you ought to be very focused and give it your very best shot, I also believe more in systems and habits, and ensuring one is well-rounded in all important spheres of life. I believe in understanding the system, understanding yourself, and figuring out how to navigate them successfully.
Dearest reader, I need to hear your take on this and the logic behind it:
1. Absolutely lock in, focus, and invest your entire being on a specific goal, then when you achieve something, seek balance.
2. Live a balanced life where you can effectively juggle working toward a goal and living daily, so that one doesn't affect the other.
