Who Killed Goliath?
"The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine." Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you." ~ 1 Samuel 17:37
If there is one thing I have learned recently, it is the power of recounting what God has done previously, as a standpoint to provoke Him to do more. This shows that the past is very essential. It is not to be forgotten but to be reckoned upon every now and then.
When David killed Goliath, I like to think that he was frightened out of his mind. The level of bravery he displayed rested on what had happened before, his past experiences with God, and that became the basis of his belief.
Dearest reader, appreciation is an application for more. When we look back at the great and mighty things God has previously done, it is meant to build faith in us and give us the boldness to face every challenge that comes our way. Let us never undermine the power of remembrance.
I believe it's David remembering and recounting what God has done for him before, that helped him kill Goliath. What do you think?
