WHAT ARE YOUR BELIEF SYSTEMS FOUNDED ON?



I had an argument today that made me question something I have held dear to myself for years. It was crazy, because I know that if logic and reason threaten your conviction, then your belief is falsehood.

This had me thinking hard and long until I was finally able to tie my belief to a level of logic. Still fumbling as I did was a wake up call to see the weak structure of my belief system.

We cover a lot of things under religion, you know? Excuse things with religion and all that. But that is wrong.

What you cannot explain, you do not know, it is that simple.

So what is the reason behind your belief?

My coach would say if your beliefs are not tied to something then you can be easily swayed by doctrine. These words had never felt truer until today.

Dearest reader, the best thing you could do for yourself is ensure you are not just believing anything, but that your belief systems are tied to something bigger and greater than you.

I guess you are wondering, how does one arrive at this point right? Me too.

But yes, a day at a time.

Figure out you, and ensure the layers of your belief are founded in logic.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
