THE LIFESTYLE OF CHRIST

"It's not enough to have the life of Christ, you must have the lifestyle of Christ." Pst Phil

You know how being born again automatically makes you have the life of Christ inside of you? Now, beyond just having Christ within, there is the need to live out that reality outwardly.

When Pst Phil was explaining this concept today in church, I paid close attention, because the idea of living out a reality has always made sense to me.

Everything has a lifestyle.
It is first an identity, then a lifestyle, which in turn influences both doing and being.

The point is, beyond claiming an identity, there is the part where you ought to live this identity daily, in your activities, in your essence, in your behaviour.

So it is not enough to have Christ in you. Does your lifestyle express Christ daily? Are you a mirror of what you claim to carry within you?

Dearest reader, it is not about merely doing. It is about being and expressing. My way of living should point to what I claim to be. I should reflect outwardly, consistently and daily, that which I profess inwardly.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
