Spew nonsense
Sometimes, I marvel at the things people spew. How do you open your mouth and have nothing to say but something insensitive?
As my sister would say, "If you must judge, you must be perfection itself."
I recently posted a video of a poem I presented in church a couple of months ago, and boom! There was this annoying, insensitive comment about my stomach.
Here’s the thing: The poem was truly good,, literally one of the best I’ve ever written. But no, this person decided to single out one thing: my stomach.
What is this human obsession with error-finding? How can you be anything short of perfection yet insensitively spew nonsense?
Dearest reader, I read a quote somewhere, and I'll paraphrase: 'There's never a reason to unnecessarily comment on someone's body, especially if you aren't saying something good.'
You see, there's a thin line between giving an honest opinion and being an insensitive jerk. Know the line!
Life is already hard. You don't know who is hanging on by a thread. Before you open your mouth and spew words that could result in something tragic.
Learn diplomacy, if you must—or just mind your own business.
Can you relate to someone ruining your perfect day just by telling an insensitive joke?
