Hearing or Learning

You know that thing where you hear words, listen to sermons or podcasts, attend conferences and they sound so powerful that they compel you to want to do differently, to do better, to align with what was taught?

And then you don’t.
The words, the impacts, the resolutions remain just words.

Sometimes you even go as far as preparing elaborate plans, the kind you never execute. Other times, you begin but stop after just a few days.

Dearest reader, can you relate to these circles?

Don’t you think it is probably because you did not truly learn? The whole time you only “heard,” you only “listened” at best.

And like Mr Pojo would say, hearing is not knowing. You cannot learn from what someone said, but rather from what you deduce, reason out, and analyze from what was said.

So, are you really learning, or are you just listening?
