CHRONICLES OF LADY AVA : Conviction Will Carry You
Ava counts as the laziest person I know, because tell me why she is always looking for where to sit in every gathering. Madam cannot stand for more than two minutes. We often joked that she must have been an old woman in her past life.
That is why when she picked the ushering department in church, it was shocking. My first reaction was, "Do you realize this requires a lot of standing?" But Ava claimed it was where her spirit led her.
So, every Sunday she would go through the routine of complaining about how much her feet hurt, and we called it her karma. Imagine Ava, who cannot stand to save her life, now willfully standing for hours. It made me realize how much you can do once you firmly decide to. Yes, it can be difficult, but have you seen someone truly set on something? Someone determined from their own conviction, not the type that comes from others persuading them.
Dearest reader, I greatly admire the zeal and audacity it takes to commit to something that is not your strongest ground. One thing I’ve learned is that with conviction comes the strength to carry on.
P.S. Ava still cannot stand long to save her life sha, but during service, madam can stand till daybreak.
So, what have you decided to do despite yourself? Beyond your comfort or your nature, if you truly wanted, you could pull off almost anything.
