COMMON INTEREST.
"There are no permanent friends or permanent enemies. What is permanent is common interest" ~ Admin Paul
Come to think of it, once our interests align, we can work together perfectly regardless of the history we once had.
Haven't you seen this in movies? Characters who desperately despise each other, out of necessity, end up working towards a specific goal and become good pals. What happened? Common interest!
You know that famous verse of Scripture that says, "Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?" (Amos 3:3).
The agreeing is the common interest.
So the idea is that you do not necessarily need to like a person, but once you have a common goal, you will need agreement. That is the one thing that is constant and sure.
Dearest reader, have you ever had someone you once greatly disliked become a friend simply through a common interest? I can attest to going from hate to love faster than the speed of light after seeing a person's books and poetry collections.
That is the thing! Common interest overrides feelings and emotions.
