CHRONICLES OF LADY AVA : Planning Sucks!
Ava when she is planning: "A woman ill-prepared is a woman set up for failure."
Ava when her plans go south: "Planning sucks, and it hardly ever goes the way you intend."
And in both ways she is correct. While planning is pivotal and a necessity, we can all agree it is sometimes futile to make plans.
But really, what is the essence of planning?
The English word plan comes from the French plan (flat surface, map, drawing), which itself comes from the Latin planus (flat, level, clear).
To “plan” originally meant to lay out something flat, like a map or blueprint.
In essence, planning is the rational act of anticipating and arranging the future through deliberate thought, intention, and foresight.
And while it may suck when things go south, a solid plan will always show you where to go next and what to do next, despite how messy it gets.
Dearest reader, I bet we can all relate to the devastation that comes with having our plans fall through. How do you handle it? Do you blame the universe for being against you like Ava, or do you make multiple alternatives well thought out to ensure the mitigation of the situation?
