The Comfort of Knowing...



"Even in the bad times there is still God" ~ X

I feel like one of the biggest flexes of being a believer is the assurance that you do not have to go through any of this alone, the assurance that there is a guy upstairs who is not just watching over you but has your back.

So even in the hard times, on the tough days, and during the impossible seasons, it is easier to hang on knowing for a fact that all will be well. Las Las, all things work out for those who believe, right?

But sometimes we forget. We suddenly lose the memory of God showing up. Regardless, even when He does, we become consumed by what is going on, by what is physically not working.

Dearest reader, remember that life is like a gym membership with a really complicated cancellation policy. But what helps? Knowing you are not alone. Knowing that there is still God,ever present, as near as ever, just in time.

So if you're ever feeling down, remember that the guy upstairs has got your back(God abeg nuh vex).

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
