SHOW UP!!

I like preparing for anything before commencing. My best friend would call it safety in preparation, and I assure you, there's a kind of confidence that comes with it. In fact, I highly recommend you try it.

But there are times, and times again, when you have no preparation and still have to show up, abi? What do you do at such times?

Towards this evening, just a few hours before a session I was supposed to prepare for, I had an encounter, or rather, a confrontation, that really had me shaken. So badly shaken that I couldn’t seem to focus on preparing for the session.

But guess what? The time of the session came quickly. Was I feeling like it? Hell no! Did I do it? Hell yeah!

I read somewhere that the first step is showing up. Showing up is the most important ingredient. Show up tired, show up sick, show up every time it matters, because it could just be the way out.

Yes, I had an awesome session. It could've been better if I had the focus to prepare well. However, I'm glad I showed up regardless of the initial panicking.

Dearest reader, a poet once wrote, and I quote, "At times our purpose drops on our laps like it were thrown from the heavens by accident."

Sometimes, all purpose needs is for you to show up, small and shaken, but willing.
