Knowledge Unlocks Progress.

"Most of the issues we have are just knowledge gaps. It's not working because you don't know, and if you pay more attention to knowing, you'll see progress." ~ X

When I came across the above axiom, I stopped in my tracks and laughed out loud. It's how much I could relate to it. Yes, it's true what they say, ignorance is a disease.

And the truth is, what you do not know is bigger than you. The most recent example is my video editing course. For someone who taught herself how to edit, no masterclass or formal training, just exploring everything I could find on the app and making the most of it, I thought I was doing okay.

And to an extent, I was good. Not a pro, but I could put together decent short-form videos. Then I got access to a course. The first thing I realized was that I knew absolutely nothing. I had to unlearn and relearn some of my tricks. I found out that those fancy video edits aren't magic, they’re actually just process.

What changed? My perspective. And that came from knowledge. I couldn't do some tricks before, no matter how hard I tried, simply because I didn’t know how. It's that simple.

Dearest reader, the moment you pay attention to knowing, you'll gain insight and understanding. What you're doing wrong may be a result of a lack of knowledge or expertise in that area. Don't take learning for granted, because what you don't know is always greater than you, no matter how small it seems.
