CHRONICLES OF LADY AVA: The Illusion of In-Betweens

Ava does this thing where she's utterly frightened by the idea of committing to things, and instead of walking away, she hangs on the fence, what she calls the in-betweens and almosts.

So yeah, she’s got a clean slate.
Never done the actual evil, but close enough to have experienced it. She's neither in nor out.

And this can be rather annoying, as it almost gives her the opportunity to "eat her cake and have it." We even confronted her about it one time, but trust madam to always defend her actions.

This went on until she met her kind, until she was at the receiving end of the kind of situations she's used to setting up. And the hurt was so deep, she swore off the in-betweens.

That’s when she came up with a theory about in-betweens. She said, and I quote, “The thing about in-betweens and almosts is that, though it seems like the safer option, one person or entity will surely end up hurt.”

Dearest reader, I recently encountered something that made me crave just hanging on the fence. But the thought of Ava's saying came to mind. Life is riddled with complications. You're either choosing or rejecting. Leave the fence and be intentional about what you're choosing.

Remember, what you're not rejecting, you're choosing. Sometimes the in-between is an illusion, one that deceives people into thinking they are smart enough to escape the consequences of actions
