Self-evaluation over Self-pressure.

Am I the only one who finds this weird?
The constant need to pressure oneself just because other people out there seem to be doing better?

See, there will always be someone smarter, richer, faster, or seemingly ahead. So, I find it frivolous to constantly weigh ourselves down because of that.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you shouldn’t strive to be better. I’m simply asking: What’s the motive?
Are you striving to improve because someone else is doing well and you feel you should too? Or are you doing it for your own growth?

There’s a difference between unnecessary pressure and honest self-evaluation, but they’re often misunderstood.

Self-evaluation is taking the time to sit with yourself, to reflect sincerely on your journey. Not just your flaws, shortcomings, or fault lines, but also your progress, growth, and process.

It doesn’t come with intense pressure or unhealthy comparison. Instead, it gives you clarity, to see how far you’ve come, how far you need to go, and what small, consistent steps you can take next.

Personally, I don’t believe in intensity or doing too much at once. I believe in consistency. I don’t envy those who rush and burn out. I admire the ones who do little but do it consistently, sustain it, and then level up.

Dearest reader, take a moment today to pause and self-evaluate. But please, do not pressure yourself unnecessarily.
