YOUTUBE TO RESCUE.

Guess who used YouTube to make Owo soup?

Yes, me!

In case you're wondering, Owo soup is the traditional delicacy of the Urhobo tribe (my tribe). Anyway, this dish requires great expertise to prepare, even though it's actually quite simple.

I'm not a great chef, so of course, I couldn't make it offhand. But it's my dad's favorite, and he hasn’t been in the best mood lately, so I decided to cheer him up by making it.

But first, I had to learn, and that took me straight to YouTube. YouTube literally has everything you need!

After watching a couple of videos, I headed to the market to buy the necessary ingredients. One trader even laughed at my pronunciation of the native salt used in cooking the soup!

I got home, placed my phone in front of me, and followed the step-by-step process in the video. Trust me, it was tasking. I was constantly going back and forth, pausing the video at intervals.

And in no time, my soup was ready! Yesss!

I won't lie to you, it wasn’t 100% like the food blogger’s own, but it had a great taste and was pretty good for a first attempt.

My dad was surprised and impressed. You needed to see my shoulders, guyyyyy, they were so high, ehn!

Dearest reader, the point is simple: knowledge is everywhere. We’re in the generation of information, so you and I really have no excuse for why we can’t do something.

We have powerful tools at our fingertips. And with just a little determination, boom! we can even move mountains.
