THE PRICE OF EXCELLENCE.

From being part of the Girl Equip team, if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that excellence is not cheap.

Esther Paul would always say, “We’re not doing anything short of excellence,” and true to her words, we all did our best to make sure everything was excellent.

Trust me, it was not easy. My whole body still aches from yesterday’s event, yes, that bad. But was it worth it? Absolutely! It was more than worth it. I’ll do it all again, and even better, in a blink of an eye because of the vision.

We all want excellence. We all want perfection, at best. But are we ready and willing to give what it takes to get what we want? I highly doubt that.

Evolve Conference taught me how to improvise. I had seven people in my team, and three canceled. Trust me, I almost ran mad (lol). And they all canceled a day to the event, some, on the day of the event!

It took everything in me to stay calm while figuring out how to work with what I had. That taught me a valuable lesson: always have backups. I had planned everything perfectly and didn’t think about people not showing up.

Dearest reader, there’s a saying that goes, “You’ll never know how much you’re capable of until you’re handed a challenge and you have no choice.” And please, always have more than one option when preparing for anything.
