The Evidence of Growth


I spent most of yesterday with one of my best girls, we go way back. We chatted and caught up on life. I was amazed by the way she now views things.

In fact, I was astonished by the depth of insight she shared. This is someone I've known for the longest time, yet it felt like I was meeting her for the first time.

Trust me to be quick to point out her shift in perspective. She simply smiled and said, "Life happens."

Oh yes, life does happen. Sometimes it sits us down and makes sure we grow up. It's either you grow up, or you grow up, no in-between.

Dearest reader, the evidence of growing up is not in growing older, but in a broader perspective, a better view, and a refined ideology. The clearer your vision, the faster you run. The more defined your perspective, the greater your capability.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
