RABBIT HOLE

"If you want to understand people, study their patterns and the breaks in those patterns." — Jonathan Weir

I've been watching the movie Rabbit Hole this week, and it has been epic. There's so much to unpack. It's the way that within everyone’s scheme, there's an underlying scheme, so much so that everything and everyone could literally be a lie.

At a point, I had to pause and ask myself, What really is real?

Human psychology is a powerful tool. It can either be used to manipulate or to understand.

The reason people do what they do lies in their patterns, the simple, minute, and often ignored repeated details of their lives. Understand the pattern, and you understand the person.

I once read that we are what we habitually do. And what we habitually do becomes our pattern.

So when someone acts out of character, it's a clear sign that something is wrong. Just like my coach said to me a few days ago “Pay attention to your habits, especially the most overlooked ones.”

Our habits sell us out, involuntarily. They become a pattern that can be used to either control or understand us depending on whose hand it lands on.

Dearest reader, from watching this movie, here’s what I got: Study your patterns. Pay attention to the minute, repetitive details of your life, so they aren’t used against you by someone else.
