CHRONICLES OF LADY AVA: The Power Of Attitude.


Have you ever had a friend you introduced to someone important to you (a pet mom, an elderly friend, or even a mentor), and your friend is almost immediately loved, sometimes even more than you?

Ava was that kind of person!

We would introduce her to someone, and madam would just steal the person away. Trust me, it's one of the most hurtful things everrrrr!

The one that pained me the most was introducing her to this amazing community I had been a part of for a while. I was surprised at how easily she vibed with everyone, flowed on the same frequency, and earned herself a place there.

The younger me was jealous and upset. I hated that she could steal my people. But as I got older, I came to understand that she just had a light personality, not only attractive but backed with an attitude that kept people close.

Like it's often said, many are called but few are chosen. It takes a certain attitude to be granted access to people. You can know someone for years and still not have the level of access another person, who just met them, gains effortlessly.

You might want to call it wayo, but before you conclude, ask yourself: Do you have the kind of attitude the next person has, the kind that draws people in?

Dearest reader, I cannot overemphasize the need to have the right attitude, because with the right attitude, goodness will naturally gravitate towards you just like Ava.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
