GOD OVER CHALLENGES

We tend to forget how great God is when we face challenges. The might, or rather, the pressure, that comes with whatever we are going through becomes so overwhelming that we forget the power of God.

What challenge is too big for God to conquer? What giant made you forget God's might?

Recently, I’ve been watching the series House of David, and I’m blown away by how the character of David is portrayed. It takes uncommon courage to look past the might of that giant (situation, pressure, harsh reality) and see the greatness of God.

But often, we’re too focused on the trial in front of us and forget the calibre of the One who’s got our back. Funny enough, when you focus on the situation, you cower, losing confidence and becoming blind to the greatness of God.

Dearest reader, in that critical situation that seems impossible, never forget the might of God. It's okay to be terrified, but never forget what He can do. Remind yourself of the times He has shown up, the times He has come through, and His unmatched power.

Just like we say mind over matter, let’s ensure we live by 'God over challenges'.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
