Exactly Where You Ought to Be
We do this thing where we backtrack our progress using an imaginary model we've created beforehand.
But life happens. It hardly ever goes in the direction or exact pattern we want or the way we've planned. That's just life.
I don't believe in the idea of wasted years, though I understand that where you are at the moment is a result of decisions you made years ago and actions you took.
It may sound silly, but we're all exactly where we ought to be. You're neither late nor too fast. You're just in time.
Take it from someone who battled at length with this ordeal. I understand how painful it feels to be stuck, while it seems like the whole world is just moving on. I know how it feels to be at a standstill, to feel that sense of loss when you think about how far behind you are.
I think it was my birthday last year, I was so depressed and upset. I got to the "What am I even using my life to do?" point, and it wasn't great. It took me a lot to get out of that state.
Here's what I learned from that period:
1. We're not all on the same timeline, so I can never really be late. Yes, I might make decisions and take actions that slow my growth, but as long as I'm moving, I'm exactly where I ought to be.
2. Life happens, and you must learn to forgive yourself for not meeting the childhood goals you promised yourself. We'll get there , it just takes time.
Dearest reader, do you feel at a standstill? Like your mates are doing better and you shouldn’t be where you are? Trust me, there's no such thing as coincidence. Everything, though a product of our actions and inactions, is also divinely orchestrated.
You sef don try!
