CHRONICLES OF LADY AVA: Live Up To Responsibility



One of Ava’s strongest beliefs is that we are never given more than we can handle.

That’s one of the things I admire most about her. She carries this quiet confidence that she is made for everything she faces. At first, it feels like pure audacity, but with time, that same confidence leads her to find exactly what she needs to make things work.

That’s what makes her so special. Her belief isn’t just about thinking she can do it; it’s backed by a deep drive to actually find the way to do it. She doesn’t back down simply because something is hard. She digs in, figures it out, and keeps going.

There was a time I was struggling to use an Excel sheet. I was completely stuck. Ava had zero experience, but she looked at me and said, “I can read and write, abi? Give it to me, let me help.” And just like that, after hours of clicking around and exploring the menus, we landed on YouTube and followed a tutorial step by step until we got it.

It wasn’t foolishness. It was bold belief. She thinks she can do it because she’s willing to learn, unlearn, and relearn, whatever it takes to get the job done.

Honestly, this quality is admirable. If it were me alone, I would have dumped that Excel sheet and moved on with my life. “Life is not supposed to be hard,” I would have said. But not Ava. She believed she could figure it out, and she did.

Many times, we’re given things that are well within our ability, but we’re too blind or impatient to see what we’re capable of. The moment something doesn’t work out the way we expect, we give up too soon.

Yes, it may be hard. It may even feel impossible. But once it’s been given to you, take it seriously. Embrace it. Figure it out. That’s how life really works.

Dearest reader, sometimes our purpose drops into our laps like heaven flung it down with force. But remember this, you're never given more than you can handle. No matter how tough it gets, like Ava, you can find your way through. And you’ll be fine.

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. "NOT ADMITTED"

She clicks on the Whatsapp group chat,  Yet another "Congratulations, you've been admitted", with her heart heavy, she angrily leaves the group, minimize out of Whatsapp. There she is patiently waiting for chrome to load her admission status, this is the third time today she's logging into her jamb caps.  Her eyes almost eager with hope, she muttered under her breath, "God please" The network server makes matter worst by going sluggishly as she clickes "Regular admission status" she closes her eyes, hoping against hope, praying fervently, that this time it'd be different.  But it's not, because as she opens her eyes slowly, she's greeted with an arrogantly boldly written, "NOT ADMITTED", screaming at her.
