WHAT DO YOU THINK?
"Two people living together must have misunderstandings. If there's no misunderstanding between them, it means one is cheating the other." — Mr. Okwanyionu.
Misunderstandings are inevitable when it comes to relationships. Just like gases in a sealed container move in random motion, bouncing against the walls and colliding with one another, human interactions are bound to have conflicts from time to time.
This is a principle Jesus understood, which is why, in Luke 17:1, he told his disciples:
"It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!" (NKJV)
There are several reasons for misunderstandings, but one key factor is personality differences. As Pastor Kenny explained, we are not all at the same level of maturity. Therefore, disagreements and provocations will naturally arise due to our varying levels of personal growth.
I completely agree. You are uniquely different from the next person, and maintaining harmony requires intentional effort and understanding.
However, Mr. Okwanyionu believes that when two people in a relationship or association never disagree, it likely means that one person is being silenced, unable to openly express their differing opinions.
So, dear reader, what do you think? We know disagreements are inevitable, as certain as the size of the sun. But when there's constant agreement, is it always because one person is suppressing their views? Or could there be more to it?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!
