THE WAIT.

"The waiting period is a time to prove that it is of God." – Pastor Victor Ogbijah

Trust me, in this time where we want things "now now", the concept of waiting seems like punishment. But we forget that life is not a sprint but a marathon, a pretty long journey, you know.

Now, as someone who has once participated in a 100km marathon race, I'll tell you this for free: If you start the race with full speed, you're very likely to faint before you get to the finish line.

There’s the waiting room, and there’s the war room. The waiting room prepares you for what is to come; it’s a place of character formation. However, the war room is more exciting because it’s a place where you actively "do" and get results—a place where there’s battle and all. But if you try to skip visiting the waiting room (like we do with those terms and conditions in apps), the war room will either consume you whole or you won’t survive it.

So yes, the wait is necessary. It’s not a waste of time.

I believe in the idea of giving things time to naturally unravel their true selves. It’s the idea that if something is truly good, the test of time should show a consistency in character because ingenuine things tend to unravel themselves with time. A façade can only stay on for a while.

Dearest reader, just like the above quote states, the waiting room proves that the result is of God. We don’t serve a "now now" God, but a God that follows process, principles, and pattern. God is not random, so if He’s having you wait, stuck in a room like your life is at a standstill, be sure to explore all of it.

Utilize the waiting room and embrace all it has for you, because the war room ain’t for babies.
