The Illusion of Reality
So, I was watching a podcast last night, and it almost blew my mind. One of the concepts that stood out to me was the difference between what is happening and what is actually going on.
I know it sounds crazy, but stay with me. While "what is happening" focuses on what we see in plain sight, "what is actually going on" is the deeper scheme beneath it all.
The thing is, what we see may be deceptive. Looks can be misleading, illusions carefully crafted by others to make us perceive only what they want us to see (that is, what is happening). But if we truly engage our minds, look beyond the surface, and read between the lines, we’ll realize that what is happening can be vastly different from what is actually going on.
It’s like walking into a staged scene. Though it may not be entirely disconnected from reality, certain elements are placed to mislead us, diverting our attention elsewhere. That’s the purpose of a staged scene. It’s up to us to figure out what’s really going on, the root cause behind the façade we experience.
Dearest reader, I enjoy watching detective and serial killer movies like mahd because they often illustrate this concept so well. They reveal both the surface illusion and the hidden scheme beneath.
At the end of the day, if you haven’t figured out what’s truly going on, it becomes unfair to judge what’s happening. Funny enough, we are all guilty of this. As humans, we tend to jump to conclusions without fully understanding the situation.
