HOW DO YOU CHOOSE?

One of the hardest things in life is choosing between two tempting options. I'm sure you can relate.

A few days ago, I had the opportunity to help someone with something I do well, and it required consistency. This person is someone I admire from afar, so after analyzing the situation and figuring out how to make it work, I jumped on it (as always).

It came with two benefits, but I had to choose one—money or access.

We all want and need money, so, of course, it was a hard choice. In the end, I chose access, but only after considering the long-term benefits.

Then it dawned on me why decision-making can be so difficult. Choosing one thing over another is hard because we often want immediate results. It’s almost instinctive to go with "A bird in hand is worth two in the bush." (Not that this is wrong, of course.)

The point is, I learned that making decisions becomes easier when we consider long-term goals.

"Does this align with my vision or goal?"
"Over time, will I be proud of this choice?"

These are some of the essential questions we must ask ourselves when facing a crossroads.

Dearest reader, I’d love to hear from you, what works for you? How do you make decisions when faced with tough choices? It’s only fair, considering I just shared mine with you!
