FOREVER OR JUST A WHILE?

"Some friendships do not last, but some friends are more loyal than brothers." — Proverbs 18:24

One thing I brag about is being blessed with the best kind of people. For real, I can't relate when people talk about fake friends and all that stuff because I've got people who truly care about me.

We've all heard stories of friends turning against friends, the jealous ones, the evil ones, and all the nasty kinds. So when I count my blessings, I make sure to include the privilege of a great network thus far.

Just like King Solomon pointed out, some friendships are fleeting, lasting only for a moment, while others are stronger than a hydrogen bond. The problem is that we often do not know the difference between the two, thereby mishandling them.

I like to go above and beyond for people while I can because I learned the hard way that some people won't be in your life forever, and that's fine. However, until whenever, do right by them, because we don't get to decide which friendships last a lifetime and which do not.

Dearest reader, I believe that both the friendships that last and those that don’t are worth the investment. Understanding the existence of both makes it easier to cope when things go south. We’re not all meant for forever, but whenever counts.

Reminder: My day Proverbs group is still open to new participant 🥳
