CHRONICLES OF LADY AVA: RELEARNING

Ava is someone who hits rock bottom so often you'd feel bad for her. Madam has a way of only learning the hard way, then, and only then, does it stick.

Ava’s frequent crash landings are caused by none other than pride. Once she attains some height or stability in an ordeal, boom! She wanders off. But life has a way of ensuring you relearn the basics as it humbles you.

Dearest reader, the next time you find yourself crashing, sit back and ask yourself: What basic principles am I missing or neglecting? There are no consequences without actions.

And once you miss the mark or become too proud to uphold the fundamental principles, life will ensure you relearn them, often in ways that aren’t so pleasant.

Like Ava would say, it’s not about how many times you relearn a lesson, but how well you learn it and allow it to alter your being. Because, at the end of the day, life will keep teaching it over and over again until it sticks.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
