THE ONE WHO SEES MOTIVE




Ahmed once said, and I quote: "We're judged by our intentions." But honestly, intent and motive aren't written on anyone's forehead, so what exactly is he saying?

King Solomon, in Proverbs 24:12, states:
"You may say that it is none of your business, but God knows and judges your motives. He keeps watch on you; He knows. And He will reward you according to what you do."

It’s the "God knows and judges your motives" part for me. Am I the only one who finds this particular verse a little scary?

We’ll receive what we deserve based on our actions, but those actions will be judged through the lens of our motives. Intent is everything!

I once read that “the right thing with the wrong heart (motive) is still wrong.” While humans can’t see our motives, God can, and He judges us by them.

So perhaps Ahmed was onto something when he said, "We're judged by our intentions." Maybe he’d read this verse too.

Dearest reader, the point is this: in everything you do, make sure your motive is pure, clear, and honest. Remember, there’s One who sees beyond the surface and judges our actions by the heart behind them.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
