STAGES OF GROWTH.

Who else has had a crazy day?

Meeeeeeeeeee!

Well, I'd like to share something amazing that happened a few days ago. I was explaining to my coach why I hadn't done something I was supposed to, and I was sincerely apologizing. To my surprise, he told me to chill and said it was okay to give an excuse as long as it was reasonable.

I was genuinely surprised because this is the same person who, once upon a time, would have figuratively taken my head off for giving any excuse, no matter how valid.

It dawned on me that, at some level, he has finally "rested" concerning me. He has trained me to a certain point, and in the beginning, it was so tasking as he strongly enforced all the principles I had to follow.

So, being treated like an adult felt so foreign because, for the longest time, I was treated as a child.

Dearest reader, this made me realize that there are stages in life and requirements for each stage. At the higher levels of life, it's not all about rules and rigid instructions; we can't remain babies forever.

There's a time when being tough on kids is necessary, but if you've done a good job raising them, there's no need to worry as they grow older.

As King Solomon said, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

So, if you've trained a child properly, you can be confident enough to relax as they grow.
