JUDGING OTHERS DIFFERENTLY.

Dearest reader, honestly, I don’t have much to talk about today. I’m so tired and exhausted that my brain can do little to put together a coherent sentence.

However, let’s have it. Shall we?

I think I came across a really hilarious meme the other day. It read: "We are all just sinners, judging other sinners for sinning differently." It felt so funny, mostly because it was true.

We all err. There’s no human incapable of screwing up. However, there’s this silly self-righteous act we put on when we hear about someone else’s mistakes—how quick we are to judge and state how we would’ve done things differently.

But given the same situation and conditions, we might even be worse. Yet, somehow, we always find ways to justify ourselves. We’re really not that different or complex; we’re just often blind to our own screw-ups.

Have you ever caught yourself saying, "At least I didn’t do it like this," when you hear about someone else’s actions that you were once guilty of?

Subtly, we’ve created a system where we become the standard. If something isn’t done the way we believe it should be, we’re quick to unfairly criticize and make a joke out of it.

The point is, we’re no saints. So the next time you judge or criticize someone harshly, ask yourself if it’s because they deserve it or because they messed up differently from you.
