Who else has had a long day?

Is it just me, or does a day without your phone often feel longer? That’s exactly how I’ve been counting the seconds till it was time to go pick up my power bank from PayCharge all day long.

Initially, it wasn’t all bad. I attended this program called Prayer Convocation and got to meet two of my best girls, that was fun. I got home from that, and the day just refused to end (lol).

I slept, cleaned up, and even cooked, but it still wasn’t time to pick up my power bank. With a long list of tasks to complete, the thought of a fully charged power bank had been my motivation to wait it out.

Finally, evening came, and I went to the so-called PayCharge, only to find out that my power bank was bad. It hadn’t been charging all day. Staring at the 0% displayed, I just felt weak.

With the number of people counting on me, omor, I was exhausted!

Sure, I could fix it tomorrow, but what about the ton of tasks I’d be pushing aside? The people I’d be disappointing?

A dashed hope is truly heartbreaking!

Anyway, it is what it is—a long, tiring day.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
