BLAMING THE WRONG PERSON.

A few days ago, due to stress and terrible network issues, I almost missed posting my usual daily content. Omor, you needed to see how distressed I was.

It all started with my power bank and phone going off just when I had finished writing for the day. I didn’t think much of it and went to my sister's room to beg for her power bank, just so I could post and finally get some sleep, given how stressed I was.

Well, the network servers had other plans. Once my battery was a little charged, I tried posting, but the network was just frustrating. While waiting for the post to go through, I dozed off due to stress and exhaustion.

Only to wake up really late and realize the post hadn’t gone through! I was so mad. But funny enough, I found myself angry at my sister instead of myself. I kept thinking, She should have woken me up! She knows how important my daily post is!

I eventually posted the content, though it was late. But I was still boiling. It wasn’t until I confronted how angry I felt about her not waking me up that I started to get over myself. That’s when I realized I was directing my anger at the wrong person.

Dearest reader, this experience taught me a couple of valuable lessons.

First, it reminded me of how important my daily content is to me. I’ve developed this habit of attaching significance to certain things, which automatically makes them priorities. You should try it—it works like magic!

Second, it highlighted how we often tend to blame everyone else but ourselves for our mistakes. This habit blinds us to our own flaws. Sure, I was tired and stressed, but I could have done things differently. I could have set an alarm or found another solution instead of pushing the blame onto my innocent sister.

Lastly, I learned that taking responsibility for your actions, no matter the circumstances is empowering. Owning up to your mistakes is wholesome.

So, if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, pause, reflect, and ask yourself: Am I mad at the right person? Sometimes, the answer might surprise you.
