WHAT ARE YOU GRATEFUL FOR?

As I scripted my goals for 2025, it reminded me of the year I’ve had.

It hasn’t been all rosy. Though I’m often always tired, but this year, I’ve experienced all shades of exhaustion, both physically and mentally.

If we were to count the number of times I cried this year, you’d lose track. I cried and was heartbroken so many times, and it still amazes me how I managed to get through it all. From beating myself up over situations beyond my control to moving on from heartbreaking disappointments, it’s been a journey.

In all the challenges I faced, I learned, experienced massive growth, and became better. The year didn’t go as planned, but amidst it all, I found joy in the journey, the unending mistakes, doing the very things I once said, “That could never be me,” and falling back and forth into chronic depression. This year unraveled so much, including my realization of how I could be capable of things I’d once harshly judged others for.

I’m grateful for the lessons, as they were opportunities to unlearn and relearn. Of all the things I’m grateful for, quality relationships top the list!

To have people who genuinely care about you is one thing, but to have people who not only care about you but are willing to go the extra mile for your sake is something entirely different. I’m blessed to have the best people in my corner. I’m grateful for insightful, well-meaning relationships. I always say I can’t relate when people talk about fake friends because I know the best people.

Dearest reader, look back—what are you grateful for? Think about all the times God showed up, all the moments it felt like the end, and yet you survived! It’s been a year, but let’s take a moment to appreciate and embrace all the experiences and prepare to do even better next year.
