Hello there,
Merry Monday!
Don't mind me; every day is merry to me.
Who else randomly experiences mental exhaustion?
You haven't done much manual work, yet you're so drained you can barely lift a finger. I've been having a lot of that lately, a state of constant, undue fatigue, and it can be so annoying. I want to be productive; I want to do so much, yet I feel completely exhausted before I can even dare to start.
And then there's the unfulfillment or should I say lack of accomplishment that comes with procrastinating tasks you should have completed. Whenever I'm unproductive, I feel this surge of "What am I even doing with my life?"
After letting this exhaustion plague me for the longest time, it finally dawned on me that maybe I need a break. A break from my long to-do list, piled high with endless tasks and unreasonable deadlines, just to feel a fleeting sense of productivity.
An actual vacation, lost in one of my favorite pieces of literature or hooked on a thrilling serial killer detective series. You know what I mean.
Dearest reader, I guess we can't be Superman every day. And even on those days when all you did was scroll through social media instead of accomplishing something "worthwhile," you're still awesome, and you're still YOU.
Here's a gentle reminder to take a break. Breathe. Relax. Don't overdo it, but please, take a moment for yourself.
