ARE YOU FOOLISH?

"When you're casually reading your Bible one morning and then notice that you have a lot in common with the 'fool' they keep mentioning in Proverbs"—

I remember sending this meme to my daily Proverbs group the other day, and everyone could absolutely relate. You see, that fool King Solomon was constantly talking about in the book of Proverbs? There are days when you just feel a strong resonance with him. You’ll be like, “Na me this guy dey talk to.”

That’s one of the most interesting things about reading the book of Proverbs daily. Each day, you see the degree of your stupidity in HD. And we all know that it’s the person who realizes they’re a "mumu" that actively participates in seeking and searching for wisdom.

I’ve come to see my daily Proverbs group as a tightly woven part of my daily life, and it’s really nice.

Funny enough, in the harsh way King Solomon calls us fools, he also offers solutions. Take my favorite Proverb from last week, for example: Proverbs 8:5—
"Are you immature? Learn to be mature. Are you foolish? Learn to have sense."

Dearest reader, Proverbs teaches us that it’s not enough to realize that we’re foolish. We must also commit to learning, listening, and applying ourselves to wisdom and instruction.

If you’re interested, my daily Proverbs group is still open for new participants! 🥳
