Clarity Before Action
I woke up feeling incredibly lazy today, wrestling with my bed, which seemed reluctant to release me so I could start my day. Eventually, I surrendered, defeated, lying there too tired to get up. I reached for my phone and went straight to scheduling my day with the help of the Microsoft To-Do List app.
Once I finished, I didn’t need any further motivation to get out of bed—that's how I kick-started my day. One thought crossed my mind, something my coach often says, "Thinking must precede doing."
I realized I’d been lying in bed for half an hour, motivating myself to get up. But as soon as I gathered my thoughts and jotted down what I wanted to achieve, I found myself up and ready to go.
We often hear the advice to "just do," but having even a small plan can provide the conviction we need to move forward. Clarity matters more than baseless intensity.
Dear reader, have a plan. It might not seem significant, and things may not go exactly as planned, but clarity is crucial. You can’t just jump into a car, full of enthusiasm but without direction, and hope to drive safely.
So if you’re struggling with productivity, write down the things you’d like to accomplish. Trust me, the list staring back at you might be the magic you need.
