BALD AND BEAUTIFUL!
As the cold evening breeze swept past her, she took a deep breath, inhaling deeply and then exhaling. And she knew, then and there, that it was all worth it. It had been a rather rash decision to cut off all the hair on her head, but the wind on her clean scalp felt like an assurance that she had done something right. It was as though a heavy burden had been lifted off her shoulders, and she just wished the rest of the world could understand.
Understand that it wasn’t for everyone—the endless struggle of enduring the pain-filled process of getting her hair done over and over again. Understand that it broke her heart every time to sit there, helplessly watching her rebellious hair subjected to such cruelty. Understand that each time she got her hair done, she ended up crying herself to sleep. Understand that it didn’t get better over time; it hurt just as much or even worse, each time. Understand that she dreaded going to the salon; it terrified her to no end.
But they wouldn’t understand. Because the experience wasn’t the same for everyone else. Some people had it much easier. She didn’t wish she did, though. Being bald was legitimately cool, she thought, smiling as she savored the breeze.

Life is already tough as it is, so why conform to societal standards at the expense of your peace of mind, comfort, and happiness?
Dearest reader, live boldly and fiercely. Every now and then, it’s grand to do something crazy, free from the restraints of what people might say. Because, like it or not, people will always have something to say. And na you no give dem mouth!
