WHY DO THE WRONG THINGS FEEL SO RIGHT?
Have you ever been in a position where you knew what was morally right, yet found it hard to do? Do you often struggle with the urge to do what may seem wrong to you?
Well, I sometimes find myself at this crossroads, torn between what’s right and what feels right but isn't.
Life happens. There are going to be days when you don't have the strength to uphold the high standards you've set for yourself—days when you find yourself leaning toward what you know is wrong.
It happens to the best of us. It’s a state I call acting out of character, and I’ve learned to cut myself some slack. I remind myself that it’s okay, that I’m human. Perhaps, someday, I’ll make a habit of doing the right things so naturally that it won't feel like such a chore. Then, even on my tired days, the wrong things won’t seem so appealing.
Dearest reader, can you relate to this? Do you experience these kinds of days? Do you also struggle with the guilt that comes with resisting the wrong things that feel right?
Trust me, I don’t have all the answers. Like you, I’m still wondering.
