MEN DEY!

The idea that you are enough doesn't mean there isn't someone better than you.

Rather, it means that all you are is the right amount of what you need—if you constantly improve and grow. That’s your uniqueness.

But there will always be someone better, someone smarter, someone prettier, and so on. If you cling to the motivational speech that there's no one better than you, then when you come across someone better, you'll either feel so inferior that it leads to self-hate, or you'll loathe them, which can obstruct your own growth.

How do I know this?

Well, when it comes to being full of myself, I might deserve an Oscar. I have the habit of overrating myself whenever I get good at something. However, God always seems to place me in crowds and circles that make me realize how small my achievements are in light of others.

This forces me to be humble because, like it or not, "People dey!" You'll think you're so smart until you walk into certain territories, and you'll understand that you’ve just begun—that’s something I’ve experienced countless times in different forms.

Dearest reader, the point is: you're enough. That's undeniably true. You don't ever have to change yourself; instead, embrace all that you are. But that doesn't change the fact that "men dey!" You’ll meet people who will effortlessly surpass you, even at your best—and you’ll have to learn to live with it.
