WHY DO YOU WANT MORE?

"Wetin my eye never see, na because I never waka reach am."

Is it true that we really do not know what we want until we have a taste of it? Are we content with what we have until something more presents itself?

I feel the thought, "I deserve better," often springs from the realization that something better is possible—either by knowing it exists or by catching a glimpse of it. We only know as much as we have experienced.

We never truly know what we are missing until we explore beyond the borders of our reality. There will always be more, better, and even the best out there. Without firsthand experience, these things may as well not exist for us.

What we crave is governed by what we've seen. This is similar to the cue-induced cravings James Clear discusses in his book Atomic Habits. The presence of something sparks desire within us.

Dearest reader, do we truly want more, or is it simply because we've seen that more is possible? A taste of something extraordinary reveals what we've been missing. Life is ever-changing, and "better" is constantly evolving. Don’t be rigid.
