WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?
Dearest reader, trust that I fought hard not to write today, but it's not easy resisting the urge to do something that's now an essential part of your life. Mind you, I’m not in the business of another writing marathon, but as a writer, I will always write.
On my way home from church today, I was speaking with a friend. He talked about the various measures he had used to solve his pimple problem, but although they worked temporarily, the pimples always came back.
I found it odd when he said pear oil and his addiction to groundnuts were responsible for his pimples. I eat a lot of groundnuts and have used pear oil before, yet I don’t have any pimples.
These things vary from person to person, you know. Maybe the pimples are waiting to attack me later, or maybe they won't.
However, I believe what you think works for you. My boss always says that if he accidentally wears the back of his shirt, he’ll make a lot of money that day—and I’ve seen it happen! My sister says the presence of cobweb in your room prevents your prayer from getting to God, my bubugaga says the reluctance to do something is a sign that something terrible will happen.
These are stuffs these persons strongly believe in, and it works that way for them.
Do you sincerely believe that groundnuts cause pimples, or is there more to it?
