THE WORLD DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND US.

It rained pretty badly today, but I had my day perfectly planned out from the start, only for that stupid rain to ruin it.

I needed to get something fixed before going to church. From my schedule, I had allocated an hour to this task. Ideally, an hour is more than enough to get it done. However, the rain came along.

I still went to the repairer's shop, but he needed to go buy a necessary component from somewhere. Having a personal relationship with him, I begged him to enter the rain and go get the part, as service time was drawing near.

Oga refused. Omor, I tried convincing him, but he didn’t budge. I was being unreasonable, and I knew it.

What struck me was how he stood his ground, refusing to get the component until the rain stopped, despite my pleading.

I ended up going to church late, but the highlight of the whole ordeal was realizing that I can't always have my way. Life doesn’t follow my plans; it follows *THE WAY*. In the words of Ellis Grey, “The carousel never stops moving.” Whether you like it or not, life doesn’t pause to suit your desires.

Dearest reader, I hope you learn from my experience. Though I was a little upset, I understood.

Let’s not go around expecting the universe to stop and align with our will. Always remember, the world does not revolve around you.

TEAM WORK

It can be quite frustrating when a collective effort results in only one person receiving all the praise. Even if my contribution is just 1%, it shouldn’t be overlooked. You never know how these small efforts can make a significant difference. My bubugaga is back from school, and today we did a lot of tidying up. It’s amazing how I suddenly find the energy to work when she's around, despite my usual laziness. After completing so much work, we took a break—we were honestly worn out. Fast forward to the end of the day: everyone applauded her for a job well done, as though it was solely her effort. It felt off because I felt I deserved some recognition too—it was teamwork, after all. So, the point is, you never know how hurtful it can be when someone's effort goes unacknowledged.
