THE THING ABOUT MISUNDERSTANDING CONTEXT.
Context is an entity so frail, it is easily misunderstood.
And this happens mostly over the phone. While at church today my sister reached out to me asking when I'd be back, given that we were at a meeting and I wasn't sure when it'd end I said i couldn't say and asked "What's the matter".
That was it! The whole talk of me being rude sprout from there, it was quite annoying though because I didn't mean it as much. I just wanted to know if there was an emergency that needed me home ASAP as I was busy with stuffs at church.
This taught me that even over the phone when we read a text- the context we give it, is bias. Just as it is said that we see things the way we are, that's how we read texts in the light of an assumption or how we think.
Have you ever been so angry over a text because you felt the tone was not nice, only to
later realize that you over reacted and the person didn't mean it the way you thought.
Dearest reader, I feel a profound solution to a quarrel that happened online is showing up physically, since context tend to change over the phone. A physical explanation does the magic sometimes, as it sponsors understanding in the right context.
